Are You Going To P.T.I?

Welcome back everyone ! It is the last week of me doing blogs for an assignment and to be honest I don't know if I will continue. But if I do, I will let you all know. This week I will be doing two blogs in two days; today and tomorrow. But I wanted to post my sermonette that I did for the young people this past Sunday in Cincinnati , Ohio.
1 Corinthians 10: 13 MSG ( Message Bible) says, “ No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.”
As I was looking on the flyer, I had saw on the top that it said “chosen generation'" which really stuck out to me. Because believe it or not, we are the next generation. And so as I looked closer , I saw that it said my mental health and spiritual health matters. AND IT DOES! On Tuesday afternoon God set me in my room to deliver this message.
Now you’re wondering what does P.T.I mean in the title. This title means to Push Through It. A few weeks and a few days ago I was at the point of my life where I felt like giving up. I felt like throwing in the towel. I felt like I didn't want to preach nor did I feel like praise dancing anymore . Altogether I felt like I didn't want to do ministry anymore. And the reason for that being, is because I was going through some things and it was weighing me down to the point where I just wanted to give up.
So, I had decided to text my own close family members and told them that I wanted to give up in ministry. It’s funny how God moves people out of your life that won’t push you even though it hurts. But WILL replace those who will do the opposite; which is to push you even though you don't want to be pushed anymore. For instance, push you through the hurt, pain, or when you don’t want to endure or suffer anymore.
I want you to write these three points down:
Surround yourself with those who will push you even though it hurts.
You're probably wondering what they told me. They said , " Absolutely not! You can't give up because that’s what the devil wants you to do, for you are chosen." And I want to encourage those who feel like giving up, to push through it. Yes , I know you want:
- To stop that pain and hurt
- I know you want to throw in the towel
- You want to quit school because it's stressful
- You just want to give it all up
But, I am telling you, you can't quit! You have to push through it , because you still have more to do in the kingdom. This isn't your end! For the scripture says in Romans 8:28 NLT , “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.“ This scripture explains why you have to push through it because you have a purpose on this earth. You may not see it now or maybe you do see it, but trust and believe, everyone has a purpose on this earth.
Believe it or not, I didn't know my purpose was to spread the word. And to be very transparent and honest, when God showed me what my purpose was, I was actually confused and I didn't want to do it. I didn't want to do it because I have bad anxiety when it comes to public speaking. I'm a very outgoing, but in public speaking.
I was comfortable where I was; which was listening to the word and getting taught instead of actually ministering to people. Eventually, I had to stop being comfortable where I was and start living out my purpose . You never want to get too comfortable in one place, because you don't know when God will move you to a unfamiliar place.
2. Start living out your purpose and never get too comfortable!!
You don't have to be in ministry to have purpose. You can be a business owner, an entrepreneur, an Athlete, a police officer, A doctor and etc, as long as you're doing something that will please God. Jeremiah 29: 11 says, “ For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Having a purpose gets rough! You will go through things, but push through them. Don't give up because it gets hard . That's what the devil wants you to do.
3. Destroy his army!!
The devil wants you to be depressed , he wants you to have those ungodly thoughts, he wants you to be stressed. Why? Because he knows if you don't give up and you P.T.I ; you will destroy him and his army. And that's exactly what you are supposed to do!! Destroy his army!! Fight and push your way through it.
As a result people of God and young people, remember to:
Surround yourself with those who will push you even though it hurts.
Start living out your purpose !
And destroy his army!!
Thank you reading this and I pray that I'd encourage you to keep pushing through whatever you are going through. It will get better, just please push through it! Well, until next time; which is tomorrow. Remember: The Word Is The Best Way To Get Through This Journey Called Life.
