WAIT AND TRUST

Welcome back everyone! It's another week to be alive and good. I know you're online, but how are you? If you want, you can tell me in the comments, but I hope you are doing very well. If you're not, I hope God will give you strength to push through whatever you are going through this week. And I will be praying for you! ;)

Today, I want to talk about waiting and trusting in that season that you're in- that "be still and know that I am God season". Now, I'm not going to talk about these two together, but at the end, you're going to understand why you should wait and trust God in that season. Let's start with waiting. I remember when my brother and I were little, we used to rush my mother to make the famous chicken she does. My mother taught us this hand motion whenever we wanted to rush her. Now when I look back, I see why she didn’t want us to rush her. She didn’t want us to rush her because she didn’t want us to eat uncooked food or have a nasty taste in our mouth. That's the same thing with God. God doesn’t want to give you an undone blessing or miracle.

There's always a waiting season. And when there's a season, it always has a process that comes with it. Process means a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end. Have you ever noticed that when you try to rush the process something always goes wrong? Just like if you were cooking: if you rush the cooking process, it's a fifty percent chance it'll taste nasty, bitter, or even raw. There's a quote that I believe will help you wait in your season. It says," Trust in God's timing. It's better to wait a while and have things fall into place, than to rush and have things fall apart."So will you wait and let everything fall into place? Or will you rush?

I came to the conclusion that most people don't like the process, while going through a season. You may ask, "Why is this Kennedey?" I am so glad you asked. Many people dislike the process, because during a season, sometimes you have to suffer, endure, it gets irritating, and you'll have to experience some kind of pain or hurt. When this happens, we tend to rush the lord by asking him to end the pain, because we believe it's to painful for us or at least it feels like it. I am here to tell you that the process is painful, but it's not too painful for us to handle. It says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT) that,"God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are, but with temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be to bear it." This scripture simply means that God is with you through this process. We see this when Job was going through a season of pain, grief, and loss. He had to go through it to prove a point. The Lord knew how much he could bear, he knew that Job was still going to be the blameless man with complete integrity. That's why he allowed the devil to do whatever he wanted to Job, but not kill him. I honestly wish I was preaching right now, because I would've said, "Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor, 'He couldn't kill me.'"

I know you want to rush through the process, but you can't. He's shaping and molding you as you go through that season that you're trying to rush. And to be honest, some seasons are only there for you to slow down, to humble and equip you to do the works of the Lord. How are you going to receive what he has for you, if you rush the process? Yes, sometimes you'll have to go through some heartache, but wait and trust God.

It's very important to put your full trust in the Lord. There was this one time where I was randomly asking or rather thinking about why there was so many people in the world with trust issues. Then I had to think about it to put the pieces together and it wasn't very long either. I had discovered that many people in the world may have trust issues because someone abused their trust, betrayal, or they've been hurt by people who didn't keep their mouths closed. The amazing part about this is that, the Lord wouldn’t abuse your trust because you're his child. He's not a wordly father, mother, sister, brother, cousin, and he's sure enough ain't "Twinkie." Put your trust in the Lord! He will not betray nor abuse your trust. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) is a great scripture. The scripture says, “[5]Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding. [6] Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” This means trust in the Lord, do not doubt the Lord, believe in the Lord, and have faith that he can do the impossible. The second part means to follow the Lord and not the path you think is great for you because 10 out of 10 it's probably not the right path for you. Pray deeply in all you do and if you do, he'll show you the right way for you to go.

So as a result of today's blog, I pray and hope you'll understand what trusting and waiting on the Lord really means. If this helped you please share, comment, like, and subscribe to the website. I would love to keep in touch with everyone on here. Also, if you want too, you should send a prayer request! It's on the bottom of the website. But, I'll be back next week and I hope you will too! Have a wonderful and blessed rest of the week. Remember that, The Word Is The Best Way To Get Through This Journey Called Life!
